27 an hour 6 days ago 6 days ago 6 days ago ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of all City Facilities Receives and completes work orders related to building maintenance in a timely manner Prepares Council Chambers for all City Council meetings Participates in the set up and clean up for City events and employee events Performs custodial duties, including but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, stripping and waxing floors, dusting, polishing furniture and woodwork, cleaning windows, hang signs and pictures, cleaning restrooms Assemble and disassemble office furniture and equipment Participates in monthly departmental safety meetings and safety training courses Properly secures city equipment according to safety regulations to ensure employee and citizen safety Any other duties as assigned
Responsibilities:
- Perform general janitorial duties, including cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, break rooms, and common areas - Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors - Empty trash receptacles and replace liners - Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces - Dust furniture, fixtures, and equipment - Restock supplies in restrooms and break rooms - Follow proper safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals in accordance with instructions - Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work preferred - Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and waxing - Familiarity with industrial and commercial cleaning practices - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards - Good time management skills to complete tasks efficiently - Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects if required Note:
