Director Human Resources


Learning and Development

  • Oversee and help define and implement a focused learning and development strategy for the organization
  • Develop functional, managerial and leadership capabilities to maximize the full potential of employees
  • Work with organization leaders to identify and develop successors for critical positions within the organization, utilizing individual development plans
  • Assess training needs to implement and monitor training programs

Energize and create a high-performance culture

  • Develop and implements solutions with leadership on organizational issues including organizational design and structure, organizational effectiveness, cultural assessment and gap analysis
  • Build an inclusive, engaged, high performance culture to attract and retain employees
  • Support and effectively coach employees and leaders
  • Identify opportunities to increase organizational effectiveness through change management, communication, process improvement, career development initiatives, etc.
  • Ensure that the organization consistently values and recognizes employees, utilizing a total rewards program
  • Work with Senior Leadership to develop succession plan and corporate culture initiatives
  • Analyzing trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs and policies

Employee Relations

  • Collaboratively partners with the HR Manager on employee relations issues to ensure a consistent and compliant process
  • Guide managers and employees through employee relations issues
  • Effectively communicate and interpret HR policies and practices
  • Coach and develop skills in managers to handle complex employee issues as well as large-scale organizational issues

Talent Management

  • Work closely with leaders and HR Manager to define needed competencies and capabilities for the workforce (short and long term)
  • Partner with the recruiting team to select/hire high performing employees

Performance Management

  • Partners with the Leadership to drive a culture of performance, integrating the organizations approach with the performance of the business to individual goal setting, mid and annual reviews.

Assigned Projects Throughout the Year examples below, but not limited to:

  • Assist with facilitation of the annual open enrollment process and other annualized benefit programs
  • Assist with the facilitation of the performance review process
  • Participation in human resources audits, along with development and implementation of policy/procedures
  • Continually strive to improve the efficiency of human resources related systems, procedures and compliance
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all federal and state regulations and laws which apply to the functions of this position
  • Mentor others in HR and cross-functionally


  • Knowledge, understanding, compliance and enforcement of all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to compensation
  • Solid business acumen and strategic thinker who can develop and execute operational talent plans

  • Bachelor s Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 15+ Years experience in a client-focused HR Generalist role and exposure to manufacturing environments
  • Five+ years of HR leadership in a complex organization , healthcare experience preferred
  • Outstanding ability to articulate concepts in a thoughtful manner
  • Progressive and influential leadership style. Ability to lead while affording trust and autonomy
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • SPHR certification a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
